Hi guys,
Our company recently started rolling out Asus Chromeboxes to one of our departments.  Is there a way to change the device name on the network instead of only identifying it via MAC address.  I am familiar with the developer mode shell but was not sure if you could so this.

Not really for meetings just to manage the Chromeboxes.  We do run Google Apps at my company but wasn't sure how to setup "device management" on these devices through the Admin console.

not much has happened on this in a while, but I just hit my own use case of why I want it.

network monitoring. I need to know if a device has hacked its way onto my wifi servers, especially when i use my phone as a wifi.

Right now, for chromebook, all I see is "connected device", and that could be anything. I would like to see the name of the devices so i can quickly eyeball that list, go "hey, you don't belong", and disconnect and block it.

today, i have to go back to each box that is connected and verify its IP to figure out which, if any, devices connected shouldn't be.
