Can someone explain
/usr/share/vboot/bin/make_dev_ssd.sh --remove_rootfs_verification
/usr/share/vboot/bin/make_dev_ssd.sh --remove_rootfs_verification
cmd will prompt me to add (--partition N)
--partition 2
It makes chromeos unbootable for me. need rw mount on ssd.

what device are you doing this on exactly ?  are you running a custom Chromium OS build, or an official Chrome OS install ?

Okay, so I got the OS to reboot without bricking after running the command. Now
sudo mount -o remount,rw /
returns
mount: cannout remount /dev/dm-0 read-write, is write-protected
mount: cannot remount /dev/dm-0 read-write, is write-protected
mount: cannot remount /dev/dm-0 read-write, is write-protected

mount: cannot remount /dev/dm-0 read-write, is write-protected
mount: cannot remount /dev/dm-0 read-write, is write-protected
mount: cannot remount /dev/dm-0 read-write, is write-protected

If you still see dm-0 that means you didn't run the command successfully.
