Borderline off-topic for the list, but are you using the extension and xiwi? You will need that on a freon based system like the flip.

Sounds like you're hitting this: https://github.com/dnschneid/crouton/issues/1938

It's because the x server tries to open the wrong screen. The was a kernel-chrome pair of commits recently in chromeos that added a new device in there, it's the first device though, and X will try to use that one instead of the real one.

Hey Alex,

the instructions didn't help. when I removed the card0 dir from the chromebook, and made the new dir card0 and card1 it worked.

I wanted to thank everyone for the help. It seems with new stuff, no real guides for all issues. :)

Hi Michael,

I'm new to ChromeOS, but I got a Flip but I really want to install Crouton on it. Is there a guide you use to do this?. Also does everything work in Crouton like touch, rotation etc?.

Thanks

Hello Kai lam,

There is a set of directions that I found online, the only problem is that from https://github.com/dnschneid/crouton/issues/1938, the screen file keeps reverting back to default. which there is a guide though.
