Hi all,

I've got Chromium OS installed on a Samsung laptop and things are pretty well squared away, but when trying to install this extension I have strange failures.

The file begins to download, but then I see a failure like this:

And the download of the extension in the bottom left corner looks like this:

I'm not sure what to make of this, but I know that opening office-extension'ed files in Chromium is much less pleasant without it.

I'm attaching here 100 lines from /var/log/chrome/chrome, in case it sheds any light for anyone more technical than me (there is repeated failure of some extension or other in there, it appears).

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Mike!

NaCl is not disabled - I can run other apps that I am fairly certain use it.

As for javascript peculiarities, here's what I see after pressing "Ctrl+shift+j":
Though I have to admit, I'm not too experienced with this aspect of things, so I might be missing some things.
Thanks again for the tip - if you have any other ideas I'd love to pursue anything.

Hi all,

I'm still a bit stymied on this, and since it is a Google-made application I'd really like to be able to get it working in Chromium. I assume it is not open source, since it is pre-installed in Chrome but not present in Chromium, but my impression is that it should still work, even if it cannot be bundled in.

Anyone else have any insight?

I am facing the same problem too. If you have solved, kindly tell me how.

Unfortunately, I have not worked out the issue. I cannot see what in particular is going wrong. I was hoping, since this is an official Google extension, that there might be support for getting it working. Using Chromium without it can make it pretty difficult to work with MS Office docs.

I will make sure to post back here if I learn anything.

Plz check your prodchannel. Change prodchannel to STABLE may fix this problem.
