native gcc for chromeos flex

I'd like to install a basic dev environment (something like build-essential in the debian world). I've run dev_install which gives me the emerge command, and I have:

/etc/portage/make.profile/package.provided/toolchain.conf:

sys-devel/gcc-10.2.0-r26
sys-libs/glibc-2.33-r16

Can I use emerge to accomplish this?

practically speaking, it is not possible

you should use Crouton or Crostini instead
