It can be frustrating to see the build closed with some automated status. Maybe someone is looking into it, maybe no one is. It's hard for other team members to tell.

If you're sheriffing and something breaks please as soon as possible update the status and include the following data:

- who broke it (if you don't know, just say so)
- what the action is (they're fixing it, or being reverted)
- when you expect things to be back to normal or what condition needs to be satisfied.
- if it's going to take a while, note the time you updated the message.

e.g. "Closed, beng reverted, waiting for green on win7_aura" is a lot more meaningful than "Tree closed (automatic blah blah <list of usernames>)"

This lets others on the team know that the bustage is ack'ed and what specifically is going on to rectify. If you're not a sheriff, feel free to do this as well.
