For tablet mode, if the keyboard is detached, would it be possible to offer to switch to desktop mode if another keyboard (Bluetooth/USB) and a mouse is connected?

For the record, I'm using a Lenovo Chromebook Duet, and I would like to see this feature as I do have a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse that I use. I would like to be able to remove the detachable keyboard to make more room on my desk for my other machines (I have a mult-computer workflow) as well as space to rest my arms.

It should behave like this already, in that the tablet should switch to desktop mode as soon as a mouse is connected. I tried with USB and Bluetooth mice, and it worked. Could you file a feedback report with your Bluetooth keyboard and mouse connected? (Please mention something we can search for, like "hcutts@" in the description, and post here once you've filed it.) It might also be worth trying with a different mouse, if you have one available.

It'd also be great to be able to force desktop mode, perhaps with the option of no longer suppressing the virtual keyboard.

Some Android apps will only rotate properly in desktop mode, eg tiktok has no issues rotating in desktop mode, but in tablet mode it ignores rotation and stays in the same orientation no matter what you do.

There are also useful features like virtual desktops that only seem to work in desktop mode.
