I made CROS for x86-generic board.
and CROS could boot in IBM thinkpad PC. (Intel Pentium M processor 1400MHz, 768M RAM)
and I turn to the shell.
and I excuted these command : "mount-encrypted", "mkfs.ext4"
but result was : "illegal instruction"

What do you think about this result? (I think "Intel Pentium M processor" is x86-generic)
What should I do for execute command?

from the x86-generic board:
# We assume that our x86 baseline CPU is at least an
# i686 that supports MMX, SSE, SSE2, and SSE3.
MARCH_TUNE="-march=i686 -mfpmath=sse -mmmx -msse -msse2 -msse3"

if your cpu doesn't support those, you'll need to modify the build.

Thank you Mike.
recently I am testing each options, for 'pentium m' processor
MARCH_TUNE="-march=i686 -mfpmath=sse -mmmx -msse -msse2 -msse3" #original options
#Belows are my options
#MARCH_TUNE="-march=i686"
#MARCH_TUNE="-march=i686 -mfpmath=sse -mmmx -msse -msse2"
#MARCH_TUNE="-march=generic"
#MARCH_TUNE="-march=generic -mfpmath=387"
#MARCH_TUNE="-march=generic -mfpmath=387 -mmmx"
#MARCH_TUNE="-march=generic -mfpmath=387 -mmmx -msse -msse2"

But I am wondering.
Are there essential options(instructions), for running CROS?

for x86/CrOS, not really.  you might want to look at what Chromium assumes ... sometimes they stop supporting older CPUs and require things like MMX/SSE.  i don't know if they require SSE3 yet, or if their cap is SSE2 ...
