repo sync stuck on 98% ( 145/147 ) when installing Chrome OS

Hi, this is my first post here, and it is the first time i attempt anything like installing chrome OS. 

I am trying to install Chromium OS on my computer, everything seems to work fine until I run "repo sync". which goes up to 98% and then stops: "  Fetching projects: 98% (145/147)   ". This is pretty frustrating. I can't do anything but close the terminal. I have left it more than 24 hours and it does move. 

I tried looking online, but could find much. 

If anybody has any hits to move this, it will be great

what repo is it stuck on exactly ? run with -j 1 to find out.

Hi Mike,

I also meet this problem. Please see below output with -j 1:
From https://git.chromium.org/git/chromiumos/overlays/board-overlays
   7f1cbf2..308e6ef  master     -> cros/master
Fetching projects:  77% (116/150)

I tried my local network and a vpn to an EC2 server. Pinging chromium.org seems OK.
What's the reason? Any way to walk around this issue?

Will, would you mind telling me what did you do about this?

when you do `ps auxOT | grep git`, what does it show while it sits there ?
