Hi,
I was wondering if there are any updates about the possibility of
removing the restriction of adb access and/or apk side-loading on
ChromeOS without requiring developer mode?
There seemed to be hints about this coming at the Android on ChromeOS
session at IO last month.
The main use case (for me) is for Android development tool use on
ChromeOS devices, which now that Crostini is available is possible
without developer mode yet to be able to deploy apks onto the same
devices android runtime I still need to enable developer mode at the
moment, even for things like Flutter development, which negates the
primary benefit Crostini brings of being able to run Linux development
tools on the ChromeOS device without needing to give up the fantastic
security benefits that come with running ChromeOS in standard mode.
thanks,
Maks.
