Setup_board --board=amd64-generic fails on arch linux host

during this step the crossdev toolchain creation fails on arch linux, at s0 even, with binutils, this however does not happen on ubuntu-22.04, but I would like to see if its possible for a fix to be found therefore the amount of hosts that CrOS can be built on increases
