I have a little Dell Mini and I want to play with the Chromium OS. I have it on a little Flash Drive but I would like a specific selection of programs to be able to run.

aircrack-ng suite
reaver
macchanger
wepbuster

You know all of those good programs you need when you are out without internet. I also need to know if it is possible to get the kernel b43 driver with patching from compat-wireless for the BCM4312?

Thanks for your help

Wille,

If you check the Chromebook-Central mailing list, in the dev section, you will see an "Updated program packages" thread by Taylor LeMasurier-Wren.  He builds binaries you can install with tar, and I believe aircrack-ng suite is one of them. You might be on your own compiling the others, but it might give you an idea on how to build add-on packages.
Here is the thread...

As far as Dell support for b43 series drivers, you might want to check out the builds Dog Anson from Dell produces every few months:
http://linux.dell.com/files/cto - Check the instuction files for the latest builds to see if there is nw b43 support.

Thanks for the reply Steve,

I seen the builds from Dog Anson and from what I learned about it he is using the wl driver for Wifi. Can't really accomplish what I am setting out to do with that driver. BIG THANKS for the link! That will make things a lot easier when I get the b43 from the kernel up and going.

Once Again Thanks A Lot

You are most welcome. I will contact Taylor to see if you have documented any of his build procedures.
