Google won't be supporting Android applications in the meantime, and probably never will, so I wouldn't count on that train of thought.

I could not find any information to explain the reason ChromeOS Flex does not support Android Apps. Is it related to:

- Hardware: differences between a Chromebook and a device running ChromeOS Flex.

- Software: ChromeOS vs ChromeOS Flex.

- Some other reason.
