New issue 39332 by
mike.sa...@gmail.com: When downloading .CBR files to
Google Drive on the Chrome book, the same files will not open on the Drive
app for Android.

Chrome Version : <From about:version: Google Chrome x.x.x.x>
OS Version : <From about:version: Platform x.x.x.x>
Type of computer : <Make/model of computer running Chrome OS>
Network info : <network, encryption type, router model (if known)>
Please specify Area-* of the system to which this bug/feature applies.
Google Drive
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. On your chrome book, download a .CBR file and choose to save in Google
Drive
2. Attempt to open .CBR file on an android device with the Google Drive
app. (I've been using Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7)
3. 8 times out of 10 you will be informed that the file cannot be opened.
What is the expected output?
The file should open with your CBR reader app, such as Perfect Viewer. It
works fine when downloading the file from a PC or even on the android
device itself and then uploading it to drive and opening it.
This is a chrome OS problem since the only variable that causes a problem
is the file being downloaded on chrome OS.
What do you see instead?
It either says "File not Found" or it says the file cannot be read because
I don't have an app to view it. Which isn't true.
How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to
reproduce?)
8 times out of 10.
What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is
it?
The only workaround is to avoid using the chromebook to download CBR Files,
which is something I would obviously not like to have to do.
Please provide any additional information below.
I've tried checking the google drive settings to see if it is converting
these files when uploaded. It's not.
If I download CBR files on a PC or Android devices, and upload it to drive,
it works fine.
Also, if I download a CBR file on the chromebook to Google Drive, and then
open that file on a PC, it does work fine. Mainly because it is just
downloading the file to my hard drive and then i'm opening it with another
program, a CBR reader.
Please help this has causes endless frustration!
