Chrome OS Version : 2046.17.0
Chrome Version : 19.0.1084.15
Type of computer : Lumpy PVT PS5
Network info : WiFi

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Sign-in to device
2. Connect to external monitor using DP-to-HDMi connector
3. Press "Ctrl + F4" a few times

What is the expected output?
3.1 Display switches between monitor & onboard screen

What do you see instead?
3.1 Device stopped responding with black display (backlight was on), after
switching a few times.

How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to
reproduce?)
Sometimes

What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is
it?
Device crashes when trying to switch between monitor & onboard screen.

Note:
1.) The device went blank/black but the back light was on.
2.) There was no response to keyboard inputs.
3.) Holding the power button longer than long-press, powered off the device.
4.) After reboot there was a restore notification.
5.) Attached logs from the device.

I glanced at the code that's failing, and it looks like a new bug. I don't
think it's related to the cherry pick.

I wonder if the problem is bus contention caused by the trackpad (I think
it shares this bus). I'd be interested to know if there's correlation
between trackpad usage and failure.

There's probably 2 bugs here, one is the i2c commands failing, and the
other is that the device stops responding. Neither should happen, but
hanging is *really* bad.
