New issue 31528 by
lawrence...@chromium.org: Adobe Flash Player Settings
prompt for Mic/Camera can't be modified when the prompt is in the object
http://code.google.com/p/chromium-os/issues/detail?id=31528
Chrome Version : 19.0.1084.52
OS Version : 2046.107.0
Type of computer : Samsung Series 5 (Alex)
Please specify Area- Flash
What steps will reproduce the problem?
I requested a test account from the website; please view login info below
1. Go to
http://estudio.quia.com
2. Login - username: chromeostest, password testcros321
3. If prompted for a book key, enter A2ENCNHNHBCA93MFNT6. Otherwise, move
on to stop 4. This is to re-enable the 30-day trial fi it expires
4. At your workstation , go to 'Course description' on the right. Choose
Book '¡Así se dice! Level 2 eBook'
5. In the left column, choose 'Capitulo 4' > 'Gramatica' > 'La voz pasiva
con se'.
6. On the right frame, choose '14' at the top
7. Scroll down to the recording tool and click to record. You will be
prompted Allow Flash to access the camera/mic.
What is the expected output?
We should be able to click 'Allow', 'Deny', or any other object in the
prompt window
What do you see instead?
Clicking on anything ('Allow', 'Deny') will not select it in the prompt.
How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to
reproduce?)
Always
What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is
it?
Workaround is to go into each user profile and go to
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager06.html.
Select the website and choose "always allow". This is far from optimal for
schools.
Please provide any additional information below.
Chrome OS can use the recording tool file if opening the SWF file directly:
estudio.quia.com/flash/IndividualRecording.swf and
http://estudio.quia.com/flash/PartnerRecording.swf. You'll notice that the
prompt is outside of the recording tool. It seems like when it's embedded,
however, this is no longer true and the prompt is within the recording
tool, making it unclickable.
