H/P CHROMEBOOK CHARACTERS

Hello again everyone, I hope everyone ends up getting their issues resolved via this format! I have an H/P  Chromebook & I can't find an answer anywhere, but does anyone know how to access keyboard characters that are not "exhibited already" on the keyboard. I was looking for the mathematical division ( or divided by ) character on the C/B  board and one does not exist. It turned out to be a real bummer because of  the fact that, I did not know this, might  have gotten me in a bit of a tangle with a website' I set up an acct. via my phone but wanted to use my H/P CHROMEBOOKs email  address to visit the site once I had the account set up. But when I got back & ready to log onto that website, that particular "CHARACTER" (THE DIVISION SYMBOL) was missing on my keyboard, thus restricting me access to the site because it just happened to be a "CHARACTER" I chose to be a part of the password, of course, the obvious line of thought here would be that most keyboards would have the plus, minus, division & multiplication symbols or characters on their keyboards but not The CHROMEBOOK> I am asking if there is a way to access these symbols that I am not aware of that someone else "IS AWARE OF", THANKS AGAIN FOLKS, I love this forum, we are all in the same boat, so I always like to remind you all that if at all possible, "DON'T FORGET TO PAY IT FORWARD", GOD BLESS, & HAVE A GOOD DAY ALL..me

this is a pretty old post (~1.5 years).  just leave dead threads dead, but if you do want to post, at least be helpful.  your comment here is pointless and borders on mean.

If you are looking to find + - and = symbol i am on a Chromebook and typing this and if you look on the right top corner u will find them the only problem is u are unable to find division.
