Chrome extension SSH terminal won't open any longer

As of yesterday the  connection dialogue box is now empty when I click on the launch icon, just a little black square is displayed. Can't launch or setup connections again. Remove and reinstall did not fix the problem.

what device and OS version are you using ?  i'm guessing it's an EOL one.

Windows 10, Chrome 72.

I reinstalled from the Chrome store and was acting the same way. Not sure how helpful that is.

Your version of Chrome is quite a bit out of date.  I would suggest updating to the current version of Chrome: 84.0.4147.105.

yeah, R72 is not supported on Windows.  the next release of Secure Shell will prob fix the failure, but it was made only for EOL CrOS devices, and we're going to drop support for them in the next year or so.  but we've never planned on supporting old releases of Chrome on Windows.
