Hey there,

I was wondering if it would be possible to build a cross browser extension of the SecureShellApp so Firefox

user could use it as well.

best regards,

Andreas Till

iiuc, Firefox's extension APIs do not offer raw sockets.  so it'd be possible to support relay servers (which use WebSockets), or we could add support for websockify (which would need to be run somewhere like on the server), but that'd be it.

Hi Mike,

thanks for your fast reply. I've heard Firefox' API is not offering raw sockets but did not remember. I just thought it would

be as simple as just build the extension for another platform.

Using a relay server would be a feasible way I guess, but for the use case I was currently looking, for a little overengineered.

I will look for another solution. Thanks a lot!
