Hello Chromium Community,

My name is Divya, and I’m a computer science student with a strong interest in open-source development. I’m planning to participate in Google Summer of Code 2026 and would love to contribute to the Chromium project.

I’m currently exploring the Chromium codebase, documentation, and issue tracker to understand where I can add value. I’m especially eager to start with beginner-friendly issues, learn the contribution workflow, and actively engage with the community through discussions and code reviews.

I would really appreciate any guidance on:

Good first issues or components suitable for new contributors
Recommended resources or areas to focus on while getting started
Best practices for meaningful participation in Chromium discussions

I’m motivated, committed, and willing to learn, and I look forward to contributing consistently—regardless of GSoC selection.
