Interest in Contributing to Chromium and GSoC 2026

Dear Chromium Team,

My name is Utkarsh Kulshrestha, and I am currently pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram. I have a keen interest in open-source development and large-scale system engineering, and I am very enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to the Chromium project.

Over the past year, I have worked on multiple hands-on projects involving automation, AI-driven systems, and embedded development. These experiences have strengthened my ability to write efficient, maintainable code and approach real-world technical challenges with a problem-solving mindset.

While exploring Chromium’s documentation and contribution guidelines, I became particularly drawn to its architecture, performance-focused design, and the widespread impact it has on users across the globe. 

 I would sincerely appreciate your guidance on areas within Chromium that would be a good fit for new contributors, along with any starter tasks that could help me begin contributing. I would also be grateful for any useful resources you would recommend for preparing effectively for Google Summer of Code.
