Dear Chromium Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
My name is Aditya Agrawal, and I’m currently pursuing my B.Tech in Computer Science. I’m deeply passionate about frontend engineering and open-source development, and I’m particularly interested in contributing to Chromium’s UI and frontend systems.
While exploring Chromium’s website and developer resources, I noticed areas where the frontend experience could be made more modern and engaging. Having built several frontend projects — including Adhyaay(https://adhyaay-frontend.vercel.app/), a responsive career-counseling and mentorship platform — I’ve gained strong expertise in React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and state management using XState for scalable and maintainable UIs.
I would love the opportunity to contribute to Chromium’s frontend layer, focusing on improving user experience, performance, and modular state-driven design. I’m also eager to participate in Google Summer of Code 2026 with your organization and would greatly appreciate any guidance on:
Recommended areas or components for frontend/UI contributors
Any beginner-friendly or “good first issues” I could start with
Preferred tools, workflows, or documentation to understand Chromium’s frontend structure
Thank you for your time and for maintaining such an inspiring open-source project. I would be thrilled to learn from and contribute to the Chromium community.
Warm regards,
Aditya Agrawal
