My name is Vedansh Singh, a 4th-year undergraduate with a passion for open-source contributions, particularly in frontend development. I am proficient in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, and have a solid foundation in both C++ and Python. I am very interested in contributing to the ChromeStatus Search UI Enhancement project for Google Summer of Code 2025.

To begin contributing effectively, I have two key questions:

1. Contribution Start & Workflow: Could you please provide guidance on how I can begin contributing, and offer a brief overview of the project's workflow?
2. Contribution Cautions: What are some specific things I should be particularly careful about while contributing to this project?

Thank you for your interest in Chromium GSoC,

I'm not a mentor so can't answer the explicit questions about this project, however there is various information that you should look at available to everyone and all projects.

For example in the the proposal slide deck you can find various helpful links about Chromium development. Of course since this project is not inside chromium you should look at the github repo linked from the proposal doc and get that working locally if you are interested in getting a feel for the contributor flow. As well as the linked beginner bugs.

(side note to mentors, might be worth putting that into the proposal doc as an FAQ so we can point to that as the instructions).
