Why do the locales lists from the developer dashboard and from the docs not match?

Hello,

I just noticed that the list of locales found in the developer dashboard under Store listing > Product details is not the same as the list found in the API reference here.

Is this intentional? I think that I will eventually use the list from the dashboard as it seems more exhaustive and I am using a third-party i18n library in place of the Chrome i18n API, but I think that it can be confusing for developers. I prepared translations using the list from the docs and I'm realizing that there are other languages to support right before launch.

It might be worth harmonizing the lists or at least adding a clear notice in the docs?

PS -- Since the languages that can be edited in the dashboard depend on the locales defined in the extension, this may matter more than I first thought. Can we add locales from the Store listing page not listed in the docs to the extension and write a localized listing in that language in the dashboard?
