navigator.cookieEnabled = true, always for v7

I thought I'd seen this working correctly in v6,
but now when I set Options/ContentSettings/
BlockSitesFromSettingAnyData, I still see
navigator.cookieEnabled=true, even after refreshing the page.

Is there some other way of telling if cookies are enabled in the
browser?

the point is that even if you disable cookies per default, there could
be exceptions allowing cookies anyway

You could try setting a cookie and then test for whether there is a
cookie saved...
