Extension new permissions

My question is: will any new permission added cause a popup to appear to the user asking them to approve it? I believe it will, just want to make sure

Hi Lobanov,

Yes, most permissions with a warning will trigger that behavior: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/permissions-list

It is a little more complex, since we merge some permissions together and don't show a prompt if the user has already consented to something wider in scope.
