Hello!
Has anyone managed to install Google Ads Conversion Tracking within their extension to measure installs?
Or any work-arounds you found to be able to optimize ad campaigns?
Thanks in advance for your helpt!

There are a few methods. Here is a sample of what I used:
- CWS and other stores pages are generally not something you can track, so the trick here is to control the funnel like so:
--- ad -> site / controlled page -> extension store -> on-install
The ads lead to a page on an owned site that drops cookie associating whatever you want from the ad to the user landing in the funnel page -- I track campaign
This page then redirects the user to the appropriate extension store, either silently or through a users interaction
User either installs or does not install the extension
On install, the extension checks back the owned site and checks if there is a cookie registered for the user indicating they came from an ad. If so, the extension pings back owned site indicating a conversion either by creating another cookie or otherwise hitting an api on the owned site
