So I've been unable to find any docs on this, but the summary:

1.  I want to have an extension in semi-private beta test in the Chrome Web Store
  - I don't want to have to add users individually, I just want to send the link to people I invite.
  - the visibility setting of "People with the link" seems perfect

2.  I have set this up, and I can't find the extension in the Chrome Web Store search.  So far so good.

3.  Now I do a Google.com web search for the name of the extension (same as the website) and the extension shows up as the FIRST result in the list!  Yikes, 100% NOT what I want..!  Anyone who googles the website will now be able to install the extension - Totally NOT private.

So 2 main questions:

1.  Is this expected behavior?

2.  Any suggestions for removing this from the Google web search results?  I'd be fine if it were removed permanently, or just temporarily until I switch the visibility back to "All Chrome Web Store users".
None of the options at https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663688 seem to apply, and nothing in the Chrome Web Store support site ( https://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/ ) gives any help or way to contact a webmaster.

Thanks for any help - Bruce

Hi ,
we also want this feature to use where only those users to whom we give our url will be able to see and use the extension from chrome webstore and it won't be public to everyone. From the post made by the author it look like it is possible till steps 1 and 2.But it will be still accessible if someone Google's about it.Is this issue fixed or going to be fixed.
Also let me know available options to achieve this.

Items that are published using Only People With the Link do still show up in Google Search results at the moment. The team is working to address this.
