Hi I have got a purple nickel issue with submission of a minor update of my extension to chrome app store (included below)
Our extension does not really use user data much at all but we want to resolve this issue in the quickest way that is satisfactory for the chrome team. The error message we got says "How to rectify: Add a publicly accessible link to your privacy policy in the designated field (found in the “Account” section) in your developer dashboard"

- However there is no "Account" section in the dashboard. So we have resubmitted by adding the privacy policy link to "Support URL" section and on our Homepage URL page. We request the chrome team to let us know asap if there is any other place we have to add the link.

  • Violation reference ID: Purple Nickel
  • Violation: Privacy policy link is not available in the designated field. Note that adding the privacy policy link in your item's description is not acceptable.
  • How to rectify: Add a publicly accessible link to your privacy policy in the designated field (found in the “Account” section) in your developer dashboard.
  • Relevant section of the program policy:
    • If your Product handles personal or sensitive user data, then your Product must post a privacy policy. (learn more)

Never mind, Found the Account section and updated our link in the privacy policy field. Also added the Google Chrome required text into our privacy policy.
" The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements."

Awaiting the chrome team's approval of our update into the extension appstore now, since we have fulfilled all the requirements as stated in the response.
