I'm testing a new build of our extension and I installed it as an unpacked extension. This is how I always test our extension before we submit it to the web store.
Yesterday, I noticed for the first time that after I installed the extension, our welcome screen didn't load and the extension was disabled when I installed it.
I closed the browser, re-opened it, and saw a message that said "PrintFriendly was added remotely" and it gave options to remove or enable it. I was able to replicate this issue multiple times and for some reason, I'm unable to do it again now.
We are trying to figure out if this was due to a code change on our end or if it could be something else. I know that Google has now launched the enterprise web store, and we're wondering if this could be the issue because we're using Google Workspaces accounts to test.
Anyone have any insights on this?
