Hi, we been rolling out bugs and fixes, it was all going good until Monday of last week where the review was passed within hours but now we did release one update early morning of Friday (USA Timezone) and it's still in pending review.

I tried to check any additional details but could not, is there any possibility to check if the delay is considered normal?

Reaching out here because in the past 1 or 2 year, our update would have released within some hours.

Thanks

Hi Adnan,

Would you be able to share your extension ID?

There is always some variance in review times and it may just be that this particular review is taking longer. Based on what you've shared, I'm not concerned at the moment. I'd be happy to take a look though and just confirm for you that it is still in the queue.

Thanks,

Hi Oliver, it's 4 days passed but still not approved yet. Is there any possibility to get some sort of feedback from team of whether if the issue is with our code usage or this is normal review taking process? The strange thing is this was update and not first push to webstore and the changes were around 100 lines of code changes and that's all.

If this is expected, can we expect same even for bug fixes and other updates to webstore to take 4-5 of review process? This never happened before as we been pushing updates from last 1.5 year. If this is something new, would be helpful to get more insight if we can either improve our code or use more better practices so that the review may take less time?

Thanks

It's published but yeah would love to get feedback if we can improve our process to somehow make the review take less time.
As sometimes we need to push critical bug fixes.

Thanks!

Hi Adnan,

Apologies for the delay. I'm glad to hear your item went live.

We were seeing an overall increase in review times a couple of weeks ago, but I believe this should be largely resolved. There isn't anything specific you need to do on your side that would influence this.

Thanks,

At least at Superhuman we're continuing to see a dramatic slowness in review times.
The approvals we received today were still delayed - our recent submissions for three different extensions took roughly 5 days / 100 hrs.
  • dcgcnpooblobhncpnddnhoendgbnglpn
  • eobaknjeikpchflggmklgggcodjgbagl
  • jjpbibigahifheoipgfgfdgakiljmlpl
All three were submitted Nov. 14 ~5pm CT. They were approved Nov 19, ~1am.
As mentioned previously, prior to October 23rd, approvals for these extensions took avg. 30-90mins. A 100x increase is frustrating.

Do you have any additional insight into this slowness? We're craving more information about the change in approval time, and if there's anything we can do about it on our end.

Happily,
-Patrick

Hi Patrick,

I just wanted to check in briefly to say that we're continuing to look into this. I'll share any more information that I'm able to.

That said, I do want to reemphasize that there's nothing you need to do. Review times can vary internally (and it does seem like your reviews are still a little slower at the moment) but there's nothing you need to change.

Thanks,
