Hello community,

I would like to know if the option of "Controlled Rollout" is available in the new version of the Developer Dashboard.

Does anyone use this option?

Thank you in advance.

I didn't find it in the new version. So I use the old dashboard when I need to set a percentage number for rollout.

Hello @Deliaz,

Do you have any further information on how this feature works?

Based on my understanding new users will get the latest version. What about existing users? How this percentage will push the update to them?

5% for example of our users will get an update each day?

As I was experimenting, it takes 5% of your current users and provides them a new update. The other 95% stays with the prev version.
This number does not increase on a daily basis unless you change % in the dashboard.

I use it for major releases when testing lots of changes. Usually, a week is enough for me and during this week the number of users with the new version stays almost the same.

There's currently a bug with this feature where increasing the rollout percentage sends the extension through review again. The Web Store team is looking at bringing this feature to the new UI and plans to address that bug in the process.

Hello Simeon and thank you for the info.

If I enable the option with the default value set to 5 and then at some point uncheck the option, then the update will be sent to all our users or we will get into a situation where the extension will be submitted for review once more?
