maybe the version number is not increased, or the extension ID is different. or it is not a chrome web store extension... for me it seems like locally hosted extensions no longer update themselves.has it ever updated itself before, and now it stopped working?for me if I select "update extensions now" it is enough to force a pull after it is published in the chrome web store.
