Hi.

We had our extension's roll-out percentage set to 1%. According to the documentation, POSTing to

should have updated the roll-out percentage to 10%. We got an OK response, but the roll-out percentage stayed at 1%.

Has anyone had success updating the roll-out % via the Chrome Web Store API?

Thanks,

Jordi

Update: we got an approval email from Google -- just as if we had published a new version, only with the same version number as the previous approval -- and the roll-out percentage in the Developer Dashboard is now 10%.

So the docs are incorrect when they state that "Changes to just the deploy percentage won't trigger an additional review", but it otherwise works.

Google: you may want to look into this; you may be wasting reviewer time and introducing an unnecessary delay for us.

Salut,

Jordi

Hi Jordi,

Thanks for the update.

I'm taking a look to see what happened and if it was expected. I'll get back to you soon.

Hi Jordi,

Thanks again for bringing this up. I spoke to the team yesterday and confirmed that we do currently go through the review process for deploy percentage changes via. the API.

Our documentation is wrong there, so I'm working on updating it.

It also doesn't seem like ideal behavior - so we are having some discussions about if we can change this or potentially add a new API endpoint to match the behavior in the UI.

Apologies for the trouble.

Thanks,
