I'm willing to pay someone who can implement a transparent theme for Chrome, similar to
GlassMyFox on Firefox. I've been told that the API doesn't support it, but it is technically possible to do. This would only be supported on Windows Vista and 7 (and 8 if you install a 3rd party aero installation).
I've made previous threads about it
here and
here (and just recently
here) to no avail. That's why I'm willing to pay a developer if they can do this. If firefox can do it, why not Chrome? If Opera can do it, why not Chrome?
And to be clear, I'm not asking for a custom version of Chrome just for myself that will support this; I am asking for a change in the API in general for Chrome so that everyone can enjoy this. Instead of having simple themes that consist of just pasting an image over the UI, we can have real themes, such as a transparent glass theme based on Aero. That's all I really want.
I've attached a screenshot of Firefox and what it looks like with GlassMyFox installed. In my opinion, it is very pleasing to the eye and would love to have it on Chrome as well.
Thanks.
