webextension developer mode.

Every time I download a new chromium for testing, it asks to turn on extension developer mode for our private web extension to run even though the browser is launched with user-data-dir and profile-directory. This behavior is observed in recent releases of chrome (for testing). This interferes with out test automation. Is there any way to make the settings stick, either by chromium or extension?

We haven't been able to reproduce this.

Do you have any steps that would let us reproduce this on our end?
