Hi everyone. Recently, I started having issues with browser extensions.
Chrome says that an extension is corrupted and cannot be removed.

The following extensions are affected:

  • Anime Girl Wallpaper

  • Tampermonkey: BETA 5.5.623

  • Tampermonkey: 5.4.1

From time to time, other extensions are also removed automatically or even disappear completely.

There were no such problems before, and other users do not seem to have this issue.
What do you think could be causing this?

Hi,

This mailing list is mostly for software engineers building extensions, so we're unlikely to be able to help much with troubleshooting an issue like this.

To answer your question anyway, I would say that the most likely cause is other software running on your machine. You may want to see if there are things you can uninstall or if this issue happens on other devices. While corruption is possible due to random chance (e.g a failure of your hard drive) these sorts of issues are much more likely to happen if other software is interfering with Chrome's data.
