ForceInstall Extension on Mac device

Anyone can help with instructions on how to ForceInstall an extension from the chrome store on Chrome running on Mac.

The documentation includes a link to download an example .mobileconfig file, which can be loaded in the MacOS Profiles.

If you are using an MDM solution, refer to documentation for the MDM tool to configure similar policies.

is there an option to do so without an MDM by running a script? it seems apple profile management cli tool is no longer supported, and adding the relevant values using defaults write result in them being recommended instead of mandatory.
