Extension Removed Without Remediation Period + No Resubmission Option + No Support Response

Hi everyone,

We are currently facing a very urgent and confusing issue, and would really appreciate any guidance from the community or Chrome Web Store team.

Our Chrome extension (ID: imhlnhlbiencamnbpigopiibddajimep) has been marked as “removed”, but the entire process has several serious problems:

1. No 30-day remediation period
Based on our understanding, developers should normally have some time to address issues. However, our extension was removed in less than one day.
More importantly, the notification mentioned a 30-day remediation period, but in reality, we were not given any opportunity to make changes.

2. No ability to resubmit
Once marked as removed, there is no option in the developer dashboard to resubmit or update the extension, which completely blocks us from taking any corrective action.

3. No response from support
We submitted a support ticket (Ticket ID: 2-0130000040177), and it has been over 4 days without any meaningful response or guidance.


This situation is now having a serious impact:

  • Tens of thousands of active users are affected

  • Continuous user loss

  • Significant revenue impact


Our main question is:
👉 In a “removed” state where resubmission is not possible, how are developers supposed to fix the issue?

If anyone from the Chrome Web Store team sees this, we would really appreciate:

  • A clear explanation of the removal reason

  • Or restoring submission access / providing a path for remediation

Any insights or similar experiences from other developers would also be greatly appreciated.
