I've been using Firefox for like ten years or so, but today, I noticed significant lag while playing a rhythm game - absolutely unacceptable for any game in the genre - and decided to see how it ran on Chrome. The difference was clear as day, Chrome ran much better, so I started trying it out, gradually migrating my bookmarks and data over and whatnot. Among my day-to-day internet usage, I noticed that videos seem to run much smoother and clearer as well.

I think it would be for the best for me to switch over, but as I said, I've been using Firefox for ten years, and that decade of muscle memory is making Chrome an aggravating thing to use. The fact that there's no menu bar drives me crazy, and I keep going for the right side of the screen to refresh when that's now on the left. Is there any way I can change the layout to match Firefox's design better? I Googled for a few minutes, but no matter how I worded it, most of the results gave tips on making FIREFOX look more like CHROME, and the few results that seemed to approach the actual point weren't helpful. :|

The short answer is "no" - you can change the UI in some fairly limited ways with themes, browser actions, keyboard shortcuts, etc.

Here are two better places to have follow-up conversation on this topic though:

(the chromium-extensions list is really intended for technical discussion by extensions developers)
