Hi, I need an urgent fix for my extension Quick Notes Pro (ID: ibbanngdggafjhpbpahihecklmeehhhm).

I have been reporting this issue for over 2 weeks now, but despite my efforts and 3 new version updates, the problem persists. Standard support closed my ticket as "resolved," but it is clearly NOT resolved.

There is a massive metadata synchronization failure between locales:

English (Correct): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/quick-notes-pro/ibbanngdggafjhpbpahihecklmeehhhm?hl=en

Italian (Corrupted/Stale): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/quick-notes-pro/ibbanngdggafjhpbpahihecklmeehhhm?hl=it

In the Italian version (and 4 other locales), the store displays an outdated, messy, and corrupted description that no longer exists in my Developer Dashboard.

Thank you,

Hi Daniele,

I've flagged this on our end again to see if we can take another look. It does seem like the metadata is different across locales and I'm not immediately sure what is happening there.

As soon as I have an update, I will share it here and on the bug.

Hi Oliver,

Thank you for looking into this and for your availability.

I wanted to update you with the root cause I found after further investigation.

The issue was entirely on my end. Being relatively new to the Chrome Web Store Dashboard, I incorrectly assumed that the detailed description field was a single shared container for all languages. Because of this, I had only compiled the description for the default language (English), leaving all other locales (Italian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese) without an updated description — which is why the metadata appeared different across locales.

After my insistence and further analysis, Yukie from Chrome Web Store Support identified this discrepancy and pointed me in the right direction. Her investigation was what ultimately led me to understand and fix the issue.

I have now updated the descriptions for each locale individually in the Dashboard and will be submitting the updated package for review shortly.

Oliver, I sincerely apologize for opening this bug report and for the unnecessary escalation. It was a mistake on my part and I am sorry for the time you spent on something that was not a platform issue at all. Thank you for your patience and professionalism.

Best regards,
Daniele
