I have a Chrome Extension App in for approval.  It's been weeks.  Is there someone I can talk to about this?

Thank you,

Kevin

Ooh gosh I hope this is not standard practice. I am trying to deploy a very basic webapp as a kiosk for internal use only in my company and I am stuck pending review...

Same thing.  It's been weeks.  We've even had to re-submit it.

Maybe you can use the enterprise policy tools to install the extension/application from an internal location rather than the webstore. This way, no review is needed.

The official answer that probably won't help is that you can reach out via the contact form linked in this question on the CWS FAQ. The unofficial answer that I'm hesitant to suggest is to reply here or directly to me with the extension ID and I'll see what I can dig up.

It's common for extensions – especially ones that request broad host permissions like <all_urls> and http://*/* – to get caught in long review queues. These extensions complete review in about a week, but it's not unheard of for them to take multiple weeks. TBH this experience is pretty bad. I'm hopeful we can reduce the frequency of > 1 week reviews, but for now that's the state of the world.

As PhistucK suggested, you can use the ExtensionInstallForcelist policy to force-install an extension hosted outside of the Chrome Web Store. Please note that this route is only viable for  enterprise/education environments; the average Chrome user's system is not managed by an administrator.

Hi Simeon,

I'm stuck in the same situation just that my extension is pending for almost a month now.
I have reached to the CWS support but with no help, they just told me to wait patiently as there are lots of requests.

This is my extension:

Would appreciate your help as we have lots of users who wait for a new version.
