Hi everyone,

I’m the developer of Volume Master Remastered (extension ID: fhlnjpnemdhhoejgdelndonecnbeolok) and I’m hoping someone here can help or has experienced something similar.

My extension’s public user count was hidden after I posted about it on Reddit for the first time. I understand this likely triggered Chrome’s suspicious activity detection due to the sudden spike in installs, but the traffic was entirely legitimate organic Reddit traffic.

I’ve already reached out to Chrome Web Store support via email but haven’t received a response yet.

A bit of context:

  • The extension has a 5.0 star rating with 12 reviews

  • Currently at 6,500+ installs

  • No paid installs, no bots, no incentivized downloads

  • The spike came purely from a Reddit post

The hidden user count has significantly slowed organic discovery and growth since social proof is no longer visible to potential users.

Has anyone successfully gotten their user count restored after this? And is there a faster escalation path than the standard support email?

Any help or guidance is appreciated.

Thank you,

Ravi
