Hi,

I'm developing an extension for my company's Intranet, where most
internal communications are using Self-Signed https certs. Can I
configure XMLHttpRequest so it allows this (ignore the invalid cert)
instead of raising exception? Or probably the extension can ask the
user once whether to accept the self-signed cert and then allow the
user? I've scratched my head for some time since there seems to be no
way of allowing self-signed cert at all in the API.

Thanks

I don't think XHR explicitly deals with this case.  There is a button in Chrome's preferences in the "Under the Hood" tab which is labelled "Manage certificates".  You might be able to install the certificate in whichever dialog pops up (depends on the OS) and see if that works.
