Hi,
I've submitted my extension & I noticed I didn't do a production webpack build so it's got development variables.

Is there a way to cancel the submission or upload the corrected file?

I'm really concerned that this might add 1 week + to the eventual approval timeline, as even if it's approved (not sure if it would be if it references a server on localhost) I would need to re-submit just to swap the production variables.

It seems like a waste of reviewer time also - but I can't see a cancel or amend option.

Regards
Sam

This has been a feature request for a really long time, and isn’t currently possible.

As a suggestion: if you sign in to the CWS Developer Dashboard and go to the "Account" section, you can enable "Item reviews" and "Item published" email notifications (I don't know whether this is enabled by default, at least for me it was not).

This way, you'll be notified when the review finishes, so you can take action ASAP to amend the error.

Of course, it'd be great if we could cancel a review in progress (although I see how this could be abused). I also sent feedback a while back asking for this.

Cheers :-)

The ability to cancel a submission would allow malicious developers to reverse engineer the automatic review process.
When a new package is uploaded, its review begins immediately by an automated system that installs the package in several virtual machines that run the extension in an accelerated way (several months of activity in a few minutes).

If we were able to "cancel" a submission, we could trigger this automated review process dozens of times per day.
Not a good idea.

Thanks for letting me know.

In this circumstance would it be justified to submit again while the first review is still pending, with a note explaining that this is the production version?

The dashboard doesn't allow you to submit another package while the previous submission is still pending. All you can do is wait.
