Chrome Notifications API

[Jahfari Coumarbatch]

I have tried everything that I have seen to be able to play an audio file through the background.js of my chrome extension but either nothing happens or I get errors. I'm assuming that I've not found the right method for doing this? does anyone know what is requied to do this?

Are you using Manifest V3?

If so, the suggested approach would be to open an offscreen document and call the audio APIs from there: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/api/offscreen
