Google AdSense ads on pages automatically opened after installation, update and removal

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of extensions that, after installation, open a web page (like "thank you for installing... how to use...") that contains Google AdSense ads. I used to think this was prohibited by Google AdSense policies, but as noted above, I've seen it happen in practice. Is anyone here placing Google AdSense ads on these pages (which open automatically when installing, updating, or uninstalling an extension)?
