Nowadays people are having higher and higher resolutions, and I have noticed that my extension Tab Manager Plus is receiving increasingly negative reviews due to the arbitrary popup size limitations that the browser allows for extensions.
Even though I'm offering users to open the popup in its' own tab, users are annoyed that the maximum size is 800x600 and they would like to increase it on their own. Frankly I'm annoyed by this limitation as well and would love to override it...

It would be great if extension makers would be able to specify their own maximum sizes for extension popups. In the end if my extension doesn't show up fully / correctly on a users screen, that's an issue that I should have to handle.
Also with resolutions increasing at such a rapid pace, a limit of 800x600 doesn't seem reasonable any longer.

Instead I would propose to have the maximum popup size be based on the current users screen size ( minus a certain margin, e.g. 228x168 - which is the same margin as showing 800x600 on a 1024x768 resolution ).
So if I'm on a 4k monitor with a resolution of 3840x2160 - then the maximum popup size could be somewhere around 3612x1992.
But if I'm using Chromium on a TV that has 1028x768, then it would be 800x600. Etc.

The only solution to this problem currently would be me injecting javascript into every tab, to create a custom popup. And that's just too much additional memory waste and trouble to get around an ancient and arbitrary size limitation like this.
