Is it necessary for an extension to have a privacy policy if it contains paid content ("Offers in-app purchases")?

Let's say there is an extension that does not collect any user data. At the same time, in addition to free features, this extension also has paid  features. The purchase of a premium subscription to access these features is carried out through a third-party payment service (on its website), which has its own privacy policy. Of course, when making a purchase, users enter (on the payment service website) the data necessary for the purchase, such as a credit card number, email address, etc.

Is it necessary for the extension itself to have a privacy policy in this case?
