A disturbing warning message on the extension badge.

Hi folk,

for some time, when I open the browser in the morning, one\two extensions gives me this kind of message: "Unable to correctly load the extension. The extension might not be able to intercept network requests."
A restart of the browser has (for now) always solved the problem.
What is it to mean?

Hey Rob!

You can find this error here. It is shown when there are either too many errors (i.e. IDS_EXTENSION_WARNING_ENABLED_RULE_COUNT_EXCEEDED), or when the rules fail to load (IDS_EXTENSION_WARNING_RULESET_FAILED_TO_LOAD). Since a browser restart solves it, it would almost certainly be the later option. If you would be able to share any more information, like any possible reproduction steps or similarities in folks hitting the issue (do they all also have other specific extensions? does this only happen on update? after device comes back from sleep? on specific operating systems?) that would be very helpful!

Hi Patrick and thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately it is not an extension developed by me and therefore it will be difficult to carry out an in-depth investigation.

However, I can write a message to the developer reporting the issue.

The problem happens rarely (I would say once a week).

Among all the extensions installed (just over twenty), it happens to me with two extensions; At the moment, however, I don't remember the name or ID of the other extension.
